Toy Run 2007
It all started in 1986 when Toy Run founder Kim Lucas organized a small group of big-hearted bikers. Over the years, the event has become a tradition for Lynchburg area riders moved by the Christmas spirit. On December 2 over two hundred motorcyclists participated in the 21st annual Toy Run. The event is held each year at Presbyterian Homes & Family Services (PHFS) in Lynchburg.
The cheers of kids from Miller Home, SPARC and Lynchburg PHFS teens and adults greeted the bikers as they paraded their way up the driveway. Riders then distributed gifts that were purchased for each individual, with guidance from their personal “wish list.” The day was topped off with motorcycle rides around the campus.
The gray sky and occasional sprinkle of rain didn’t dampen the spirit of Christmas and community between the bikers and the kids. Our thanks and best wishes go out to everyone involved in Toy Run. Your efforts make a true difference in the lives of our kids and adults. Merry Christmas!
More than $15,000 worth of gifts were provided this year! A BIG Thank You goes out to all of the bikers!
