The Counseling Center provides professional counseling to individuals, children, teens, couples and families who are experiencing significant emotional or psychological challenges in their lives, such as:
The counseling services are confidential and are provided in a supportive and caring environment. Our staff are well-trained in working with families living in poverty who have wide-ranging and often multiple daily living challenges. Although we are not an exclusive provider, we are one of the few providers who welcome low-income families and/or those individuals with limited financial resources.

This is a 10 week, highly interactive program allowing participants to assess their anger, its roots and plan for situations that are difficult to manage. This program's focus on prevention makes it unique.
All Anger Management classes are held on Mondays.
Cost for the classes is $200. Payment plans are available. $50 is due before the first class for those using the payment plan.
Children in the Middle
This is a four-hour intensive, specialized parenting class for divorced or divorcing couples; any adult involved in a custody dispute; those seeking visitation through the court system and other adults (i.e. grandparents) concerned about the effects of adult conflict on children.
Adult Classes are held on the 1st and 2nd Tuesdays of the month.
Cost is $50 per person.
Pastoral Counseling Services of Central Virginia
Pastoral Counseling Services of Central Virignia is now a part of our Counseling Center. These services provide dependable, professional help for people facing the distresses and difficulties of everyday life.
Pastoral Counseling Services extends the healing ministry of the church to individuals, couples and families experiencing unrelieved stress, communication difficulties or unresolved conflict and who could benefit by consulting a trained counselor. This unique form of therapy uses spiritual resources as well as psychological understanding for healing and growth.
Fees for these services are based on a sliding scale which takes into account family size and income and ability to pay.
