The Therapeutic After School Program positively impacts the lives of children by helping them overcome barriers that prevent them from succeeding at school or in their home environment. This program provides a community-based after school treatment environment for youth ages five to 17. We offer students individualized treatment planning, educational support, therapy and psycho-educational groups. Our Therapeutic After School program has a small staff-to-student ratio and offers students social skill building activities, positive daily living services and recreational opportunities.
This program serves children experiencing behavioral issues in school, those who have trouble focusing and concentrating in the classroom and students with declining grades. For many youth, Thearpeutic After School serves as a crucial step in the process of rejoining their families. Therapeutic After School offers family events and activities as a way of involving families in the youth's lives and treatment. Therapeutic recreational activites allow children to express themselves and learn a variety of skills and competencies. For example, a simple game can tackle social skills, communication and anger management, while simultaneously building self-esteem, enhancing social skills, increasing positive peer interactions and validating each individual.

The youth in this program are referred by multiple sources in the community and students must meet Medicaid eligibility requirements to be accepted into the program.
Daily transportation is provided from school to the program and to the child's residence.
During the school year (mid-August to mid June) hours are 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. *Two snacks are provided
During the summer (mid-June to mid-August) hours are 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. *Breakfast and lunch are provided.
